Welcome to Wm Smith & Co..
Wm Smith & Co. is an event-driven, special situations, institutional research firm that utilizes 13D filings, insider buying, 13F filings, and stock buybacks to generate investment ideas. Since 1983, we have followed and studied this methodology, which provides the Company with good insight into how successful investors think.
After we identify an idea, we meet with management and when possible, tour their facilities, and speak with competitors, customers and suppliers. Our typical report is 10-15 pages of in-depth analysis, which includes a price target. We publish six to ten new ideas annually, holding ourselves accountable for each idea by keeping every recommendation on our Stock Performance Summary listed below. |
